Age Calculator
This is plain calendar arithmetic — there is no astrology in it. Your age, total days, the weekday of your birth, and how many days remain to your next birthday.
What this calculator tells you
This gives your exact age — years, months and days — along with the total number of days you have lived, the weekday you were born on, and how many days remain until your next birthday.
How the calculation works
This is plain calendar arithmetic. The birth date is subtracted from today’s date; if the days fall short, days are borrowed from the previous month, and if the months fall short, from a year. Leap years take care of themselves, because the count runs on real dates.
How to read the result
To be clear: there is no astrology in this — no sign, no planet, no prediction. It is arithmetic. The total-days figure is useful elsewhere though, such as cross-checking a dasha period or verifying another calculation.
Common questions
Why is no birth time asked for?
Because the date alone settles an age. A time is needed for a birth chart, where the Ascendant shifts every two hours — it has no role here.
Is this the same in Indian and Western reckoning?
Yes. Calendar arithmetic is the same everywhere. Some traditions count age by the running year (one more than this) — that is a custom, not a different calculation.
What weekday will my next birthday fall on?
That is given too, and the weekday is worked out for that year — because it shifts from one year to the next.
