This is where most websites get it wrong. Rahu Kaal is one eighth of the day — and the day means sunrise to sunset, not fixed clock hours. Day length varies by place and season: in Delhi a June day runs about 13½ hours and a December day about 10¼. A single “1:30–3:00” cannot be right for both. Which of the eight parts belongs to Rahu is set by the weekday — the eighth on Sunday, the second on Monday, and so on. That sequence comes from tradition; it is not derived from any calculation.
How to read it
The timing is built from the sunrise and sunset of the city you choose, so it changes when the city changes — and that is correct. The tradition advises against beginning something new during it, not against continuing what is already underway. It is a consideration, not a thing to fear.

Two reasons: either it prints fixed hours, which is wrong, or its city differs from yours. A correct figure always derives from your own city’s sunrise and sunset.
