Birth Chart Calculator

This is built in the whole-sign (Parashari) system — the classical default, in which sign and house are the same. Each planet’s exact degree is given alongside.

What this calculator tells you

This builds your complete birth chart — the Ascendant, every planet with its sign, exact degree and house. It is the foundation everything else rests on: dashas, doshas and transits are all derived from it.

How the calculation works

Planetary positions are computed astronomically, then the Lahiri ayanamsa is subtracted — this is what turns a tropical position into a sidereal (Vedic) one. Houses use the whole-sign (Parashari) system: the entire rising sign is the first house, the next sign the second, and so on. This is the classical default.

How to read the result

Each planet is listed with its exact degree — which matters because degree is what determines the navamsa and the ashtakavarga. Retrograde planets are marked. A chart is a picture, not a verdict: the mathematics says where a planet is; the meaning comes from the reading.

Common questions

What is the difference between whole-sign and Placidus?

In whole-sign, sign and house are the same. Systems like Placidus cut houses by degree, so a planet can land in a different house. The Indian tradition uses whole-sign, and so does this.

Why does my chart differ from another site?

Usually one of two things: a different ayanamsa (Lahiri, Raman, KP) or a different house system. This uses Lahiri and whole-sign — both stated on the page so you can compare.

What if I don’t know my birth time?

Planetary signs will usually still be right, but the Ascendant and houses will not be reliable — and without those the reading is incomplete.
