Fourteen nakshatras are held favourable, among them Ashwini, Rohini, Mrigashira, Punarvasu, Pushya, Hasta, Chitra, Swati, Anuradha, Dhanishta and Revati. One thing differs from the other ceremonies: Sunday is included among the weekdays — the Sun is held to signify motion and travel, which suits a vehicle, though not a marriage or a house-warming.
How to read the result
Each day carries its auspicious hours — and for a vehicle the hour is the more useful half, since you can usually choose the delivery time. Rikta tithis and the new moon are removed. You can also check the registration number, which is a separate calculation.
