Why Saturn calls for a gemstone at all

Saturn — Shani — is the examiner of the zodiac: the planet of discipline, delay, labour, and results that are earned rather than given. When Saturn sits strong and well placed in a chart, it builds slowly but it builds to last. When it is weak or afflicted, that same lesson arrives instead as fatigue, obstruction and fear.

Anyone who skips the trial period. Tradition is unanimous on this point.
